May 2022 Newsletter

May 20, 2022

Dear Tillery Parents and Families,

Happy Friday! I hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather and the start of Summer! We will finish out the year with a few memorable and special activities for our students, staff, and families. Before all of these exciting events take place, we will finish up with our spring growth testing and our state EOG testing for the 3rd and 4th graders in Math and Reading. It is imperative that students remain focused and present at school and in the classroom during these testing days. Please make sure your child arrives on time daily and remains at school for the duration of the day. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We are excited to have everyone join us on Tuesday evening for our Spring Musical and Art Show. Our musical will start at 6 pm and our students’ artwork will be on display throughout the building for you to enjoy. Carefully read the details about the show from Mr. Hinson.

Spring Musical Particulars:
You are invited to witness all grades offering songs from ‘the great American songbook’ – literally! Selections from “Get America Singing…AGAIN!” – a two-volume collection of time tested songs compiled by a special committee and published by Hal Leonard Corporation will be used to remind us all to establish a common song repertoire that “Americans, of all ages, know and can sing.”
