Ms. Katie Black, EC Teacher Assistant

katie.black@tillerycharteracademy.org

My name is Katie Black.  I am originally from Montgomery County, where I currently reside.  I spent several years living and working in Raleigh, NC, but have since returned to the place I call home.  I live with my two children and our two dogs.  Since 2019, I have worked with children with special needs.  I am a strong advocate for children with special needs and feel deeply driven to help them reach their full potential.  I fell in love with special education and working with children with special needs because there is no greater gift than watching a child come out of their shell and being able to inspire their individuality.

Before joining Tillery Charter, I worked for Montgomery County Schools for 3 years as a tutor and TA.
