Andy Garner joined the Tillery Charter Staff in 2022. He has many years of experience in education as an assistant and doing intervention with struggling students. He is very excited to work with our students at Tillery Charter! Mr. Garner has an associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Randolph Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Faith Temple Bible College. Mr. Garner also pastors a Church in Randolph County. Mr. Garner motto is, “Helping make others successful in life”. Mr. Garner loves to walk his dog Rusty, ride his road bicycle, ride e-bikes with Mrs. Garner, play golf, and spend time with family. Mr. Garner is married and lives in Randolph County. Together they have five grown children, two daughter-in-laws and two son-in-laws, and one granddaughter – Alma. Mr. Garner and his wife love traveling and activities at church.

Mrs. Tyler Hancock, Bus Driver

Tyler Hancock joined Tillery Charter Academy in 2024 as a Teacher Assistant. After graduation, she began her first year of teaching in August of 2024. Before joining Tillery Charter Academy, Mrs. Hancock worked as a braille specialist and teacher assistant in special education in Moore County Schools for 4 years. In May of 2024, Mrs. Hancock received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from St. Andrews University.
Mrs. Hancock grew up in Moore County and is married with three children. Two sons and a daughter who also attend Tillery Charter Academy. When she has free time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
I teach because I want to make a difference in student’s lives. I want to help them develop skills to become lifelong learners and enjoy learning. I want my students to know that they can learn and that they have support. Above all else, I want my students to know that they are important and that they are loved!
