Teresa Harrison will join Tillery Charter Academy for the 2019-2020 school year following 12 years of service at Episcopal Day School in Southern Pines, NC. While at Episcopal Day School, Mrs. Harrison taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and was the Resource Coordinator for the last 3 years.
Her career began at the Holy Name School in Brooklyn, NY where she taught Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. She later moved on to teach Kindergarten at Camelback Academy in Glendale, AZ and 1st grade at the St. Luke School in Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Harrison grew up on Staten Island, NY and in Coral Springs, FL where she graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and her Master of Science in Education from Wagner College on Staten Island, NY. Mrs. Harrison also received her post graduate degree in Principal Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Mrs. Harrison views a positive school environment as the key to establishing successful students, teachers, and parents. She believes in partnering with all constituents, including the members of the community to cultivate the learning experience at Tillery Charter Academy.
As a seasoned military wife and mom of 2 boys, Mrs. Harrison enjoys spending time with her family, running, and traveling to New York to visit with family.
