Dear Parents and Families,
Happy March! Many exciting events are upon us as we look towards Spring here at school. I want to thank all of you that came out and helped to make our very first Scholastic Book Fair a huge success. With the funds raised, teachers are making with lists, and they will soon be shopping for items to have in their classrooms for all of our students to use. Our next 2 fundraisers will soon be upon us. We will be participating in the World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser for 2 weeks in March. More information will be shared about this at the next PTO Meeting. We will also be hosting a Fun Run on April 9th at the school. More information will also be shared about this as we kick off this school-wide AND PTO fundraiser; think running, fun music, a good time, t-shirts, and family involvement.
As we wind down our 3rd semester, please continue to adhere to our tardy and attendance policies. If your child is tardy (after 8:10am) they must be walked into the office and signed in. Please make every effort to have them here on time as daily instruction starts at 8:00am. If for any reason your child is absent, a note must accompany the absence upon the student’s return to school. As always, if your child is sick, they must stay home, they must also be fever and vomit free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. Thank you in advance for maintaining the health and well-being of our families and staff.
As many of you have seen, one of our Kindergarten student’s art work was chosen as a NC Farm to School Art Contest finalist. We are very proud of his hard work and that of our Art Teacher Mrs. Holmes! This is such a wonderful accomplishment for our families and school.
